I have spent 18 years inside healthcare technology environments, not consulting from outside them. Director of Technology at King's College Hospital Dubai for the past three years, and before that across hospital groups in India and the Asia Pacific region.

The work at King's College Hospital included a few things that do not happen often: the first Oracle Health Millennium deployment migrated to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure globally, enterprise ambient AI across 200 physicians, a FHIR platform generating meaningful revenue, and clinical AI programmes across radiology, pharmacy, and infection control. Most of that started as a business case I had to defend to a board, which gives me a particular view on what actually gets funded and why.

Over time the scope extended well beyond the EMR. I have run the full breadth of clinical and operational workflows: patient flow, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and revenue cycle. I led the Fujifilm PACS implementation personally, from contract to go-live in under two months.

I also architected a bespoke supply chain application that connected directly to Oracle Fusion SCM via API, simplifying receiving throughput and improving operational efficiency in ways an off-the-shelf solution would not have reached. I have been through enough buying cycles across ERP, supply chain, and clinical systems to know where the real negotiating leverage sits, what vendors will and will not move on, and how to structure a business case that survives a finance committee.

I started Nirvaan Advisory because the problems I keep seeing in healthcare technology are not primarily technical. They are about judgment at the right moment: when to push a vendor, when a roadmap is wishful thinking, when an AI pilot will never scale, when a board narrative is burying the real risk. Those calls are hard to make without having been in the seat. That is what this practice is built around.

I am based in Dubai with my family. When not working, we are exploring what the world has to offer. I also spend time building things: a pharmacy scanning workflow, a FHIR-based platform, an HL7 intelligence engine, and a handful of other tools aimed at solving real problems in the provider space. Occasionally this extends to code I probably should not have written myself. To my surprise, they work and support an actual need. This website included.
